Elizabeth Gillies
Gillies started her acting career at the age of 12 through the local casting auditions. Her first appearances were in commercials for firms such as Virgin Mobile. Gillies debut television appearance was as a character who appeared in three episodes from The Black Donnellys. Gillies stated that her parents were not comfortable with her to see the series in its whole. (citation needed) She played minor roles in the shows The Clique Harold as well as Locker 504 in 2008. The summer before, Ariana, who would then appear in Victorious alongside her, was cast alongside her as Lucy for a Goodspeed production of Jason Robert Brown's 13 musical. After that, 13 relocated to Broadway in a move that made it the first Broadway production to feature an ensemble and cast entirely consisting of teenagers. The two most popular songs she sang, "Opportunity", and "It can't be true", were later followed by minor roles on songs like "Hey Kendra", "Getting Ready" as well as the song that was to be her title. Gillies continued to be part of the project through January 4th, 2009.
